Oakville, Ontario is home to the best Pop Punk outfit that you’ve yet to hear. Seaway started to leave their mark with the memorable tune Sabrina The Teenage Bitch. A fast paced angry break up song from their self titled EP. Well, after playing show after show and recording track after track, this hardworking quintet are finally ready to release their first full length album, Hoser. It’s an understatement to say Seaway is one of the hardest working bands in Pop Punk, but if you’re not going to put in the work, where are you going to get? Seaway has released a self titled EP (2011), a 7″ Split with the band Safe To Say (2012) a cover of From First To Last’s Emily and an acoustic EP titled Clean Yourself Up(2013). This year Seaway has been busy. With the recording and release of Clean Yourself Up, playing shows constantly and the upcoming release of their debut full length, Hoser, Seaway’s blend of classic Pop Punk sounds (influenced by the likes of New Found Glory, Blink-182 and Sum 41) is going to be something every kid’s jamming on their walk to school.
Seaway has lost no momentum since they released their self titled and after the release of Hoser, I don’t think they plan on slowing their roll at all. Following this release I fully expect a tour, or at least a few shows to support the LP’s release. Seaway has already released a single from the new album called Too Fast For Love, an instant classic that nobody will be able to get out of their heads, and according to Seaway’s Facebook page they will be dropping a new music video tonight (9/16/13).
Seaway is bound to be a Pop Punk giant and a name everyone will soon know, with an unbelievable work ethic and a familiar sound to classic Pop Punk giants who defined the genre. Keep an eye out for Seaway’s debut album with a release date of October 15th, out on Mutant League Records and look out for their new music video.
